Despite some valiant attempts no-one including those in the 'mainstream' media saw the link between Senator and President-in-waiting Obama and Mr Stevenson.
The simple link, that both have been shown with holes in their shoes! Due to the many hours spent pounding the beat in Congress and on the Campaign trail; Obama has been photographed (possibly off-guard) and Adlai Stevenson's statue in Chicago airport is depicted with holes in the soles of his shoes.
